3K - $51K a year 11 days ago 11 days ago 11 days ago Maybury Material Handling is looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong technical expertise in material handling products and applications to provide pre-and post-sale support to material handling projects.
Maybury sells and installs a wide range of products such as industrial racking systems, conveyors, modular offices, overhead cranes, mezzanines, dock and door equipment, and much more.
The key duties and responsibilities for this position will include:
Works with Account Managers to develop solution-based customer quotes for material handling products; ensures quotes include proper pricing, appropriate product recommendations, and design layouts.
Accompanies Account Managers to customer sites to conduct surveys, locate start point markers, and collect data required to draft and revise construction drawings as needed.
Utilizes engineering software such as AutoCAD and other supplier programs to accurately design and create production and installation drawings for various applications such as mezzanines, cranes, conveyors, rack shelving, modular offices, etc.
Reviews and submits engineering plans, drawings, and permits to public authorities for approval to safety and building codes; includes ensuring adherence with International Building Code (IBC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes, Rack Manufacturers Institute (RMI) codes, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Acts as a liaison between customer's engineering and Maybury's engineering to ensure adherence to design criteria, while coordinating and responding to requests for changes from original specifications as needed.
Performs on-site project management, including monitoring materials inventory and quality control, enforcing job safety, and ensuring timely and within-budget completion as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or certificate in drafting or a related field; at least one year of experience related to the application of material handling products required.
Trade licenses and experience in the following areas a plus:
contracting/construction, mechanical including machinery design and electrical including PLCs, controls and/or drivers.
High learning aptitude for mechanical and electrical systems required.
Ability to read, analyze, and safety and operator manuals, statistical data, blueprints, technical procedures, building codes and governmental regulations.
High proficiency in AutoCAD; experience in 3D CAD and structural design is a plus.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Valid driver's license and good driving history is required.
Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
