4K a year Job Summary The function of this position is to act as an advocate for the patient ensuring a seamless patient experience; assist the surgeon in all aspects of the patient encounter.
The Surgical Assistant is required to maintain the electronic health record of each patient.
Responsibilities and Duties The Surgical Assistant is responsible for assisting the surgeon in all aspects of clinical treatment.
This includes; treatment room set up, passing instruments, monitoring the patient's pre, peri and post operative vital signs, sterilization of instruments and team workflow.
The candidate must be willing to participate in code cart drills and training, infection control and OSHA compliance, HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Dental Assisting experience (oral surgery is preferred) and a current Massachusetts Dental Assisting License.
Current CPR Certification.
Must be proficient in Microsoft office products, computer data input, Dentrix / OMS Vision software.
